Catoptromania

Catoptromania was commissioned for the Verey Winter Illuminations at the Watts Gallery. It was a three-part installation, comprising a large kaleidoscope outside the gallery, a trio of smaller kaleidoscopes in the surrounding woodland, and a reflecting dome in the Watts Mortuary Chapel. The works were developed in response to the specific architectural and rural context of the Watts Gallery and its collection, referencing the arts and crafts movement of the late 19th century.
